Heimomed
Heimomed tracheostoma plasters are available in two shapes (round and oval) and three adhesive strengths (Fine, Firm, Special). They are fitted with a relatively soft 22mm connector, and are compatible with most aids with a 22mm connector.
The PRIM-AIR-STRIP SPECIAL plaster is Heimomed's most robust tracheostoma plaster. It is shower- and water-resistant, and is recommended for use with shower protection (e.g. PRIM-AIR PROTECT). Prim-Air Strip Special plasters are skin-colored and available in a round and oval shape.
The transparent tracheostoma plaster PRIM-AIR STRIP FIRM is recommended for use on normal skin, and is available in a round and oval shape.
The PRIM-AIR STRIP FINE plaster was developed for use on sensitive skin. It is skin-coloured. With its hydrocolloid adhesive it can be used e.g. directly after surgery.
The tracheostoma plaster PRIMA-SILK II STRIP SPECIAL can be combined with the silicone cannula PRIMA-SILK II VENT Typ B. The retention eyelets on the neck plate of the silicone cannula are connected to the strips on the tracheostoma plaster to secure the cannula on the throat without a tube holder. The plaster improves the cannula seal in the tracheostoma.
NOTE: the PRIMA-SILK II STRIP SPECIAL does not have a 22mm connector. The central plastic base is used to create a seal on the cannula tube. A 22mm connector is only available in combination with the silicone cannula.
PRIMA-SMOOTH
PRIMA-SMOOTH foam rings are adhesive on one side, and can be used under a tracheostoma plaster to provide a better seal on a deep or irregular tracheostoma.
The outer diameter is 52mm, the inner diameter 20mm, and they are 10mm thick. Because of the elastic restoring force, PRIMA-SMOOTH rings should be combined with highly adhesive tracheostoma plasters (e.g. PRIM-AIR STRIP SPECIAL).
